Lynette Ong
Lynette, or Lyn for short, is a proud alumna of LaSalle College of the Arts. She was born and raised in Singapore. From a young age she loved to draw and paint. She completed a full-time diploma course at LaSalle and worked as a graphic designer for over 20 years. While working in an advertising and design agency, busy chasing life, she has lost touch with her painting skills. However, as her life has slowed down, her dream of becoming an artist has rekindled. So, she started taking part-time courses at NAFA in 2018 to strengthen her fundamental skills. Although she enjoys painting with oil, acrylic, gouache, and watercolor, her favorite medium is soft pastels, approaching painterly and expressive art.
When she is not creating art, she nurtures her collection of cacti and succulents. Her interests include traveling, sketching, watching Korean dramas, movies, enjoying good food, and napping. She hopes to share her art and bring a spark of light to many hearts.
